Rachel Flanagan Bowden |
Rachel moved to California in 2016 to attend UC San Diego, completing her doctoral degree in engineering sciences in 2021. She played for 2 years on the UCSD club team, winning the West Coast Club Championship in 2017. Rachel spent the past 6 hockey seasons as the Freshman Coach at La Jolla High School. Prior to moving to San Diego, Rachel coached at SPark FHC (now Freedom HKY) and Arundel High School in Gambrills, MD. She played club field hockey at the University of Maryland, earning MVP in 2015 and leading the program to its first national semifinals appearance. Rachel has been playing field hockey for 22 years and coaching for 11. In the off-season, Rachel coaches the U16 Elite Team for Coastal Clash FHC.
This will be Rachel's first season with CCA. |
