KEY DATES and INFO
Team Tryouts January TBA 6:00 to 8:00 AM Location: CCA field CCA FH Tryouts - Athletes must be cleared in order to participate. Bring: Water, shinguards, cleats, running shoes, mouthguards, sticks, goggles. Need more info on how to get cleared, look below in Clearance Info. We will end promptly at 8am each day so that the girls have plenty of time to get home for classes. As a reminder, all days of tryouts are mandatory and spots are not guaranteed for sophomores, juniors, or seniors. All freshmen will make a team. Missing days of tryouts puts you at a risk of not being fully evaluated when it comes time to make rosters. CCA Jamboree Stay tuned for further announcements once I hear whether or not we can host. Clearance Info
As always, you must be cleared through the school in order to participate in field hockey season and, this year, any in-person pre-season events. Clearance information can be found HERE. An updated list of cleared athletes is added to the site every Friday. If you have any questions about clearance, please direct them to Carolyn Kinnare (not the coaches). Pre-season workouts The letter from our AD, see General Athletics Info to the right, notes that sports will be able to hold a 6-week in-person pre-season for cleared athletes. Coaches are fully aware that other sports and neighboring schools are having a full pre-season, but with work schedules and COVID-constraints limiting us to 14-person groups per coach per session, it's very possible that we will not have in-person sessions until we get to tryouts. Kiana Duncan will let you know if this changes. Be on the look out for a workout packet that will start the week of November 2. All workouts will be doable from home or around your neighborhood with limited equipment. Our Varsity captains, Jamie Ma and Carolina Ceribelli, will also be running virtual team workouts so that everyone has a chance to "get together" and get to know each other before season starts. If you'd like to participate (highly recommended), please fill out THIS FORM so that Jamie and Carolina can contact you. |

CIF-San Diego update December 3, 2020 Friendly reminder that if you would like to take your child home from an away game instead of sending them home on the bus, an email must be sent to your coach and coach@ravensfieldhockey.org by a parent by NOON the day before the game. I'd recommend doing it two days before if you think you're going to be busy. We will not be making exceptions for late notice |
